The athletic Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of operation and team management including recruitment, training, coaching, and retention of quality student-athletes. The Assistant Coach must guide, develop, and provide leadership in all functions of an effective program. The primary focus is on the academic success of our student-athletes and teaching the sport while incorporating qualities that will create responsible citizens that represent the College, positively. The Assistant Coach follows rules and guidelines in accordance with NJCAA and MCCAA, develops preliminary travel and equipment needs. In support of the Department, the Coach is responsible for the proper use of a Mid company card and promptly submits accurate expense information and receipts.
The position requires a nalysis, attention to detail, responsible judgment, decisiveness, initiative, planning and organization, persuasiveness, effective oral and written communication, organizational skills, self-reliance, sensitivity, stress tolerance, commitment to the College, dependability, and a teamwork mentality.
Responsibilities:Per the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), a federal consumer protection law, your job position entails functions that meet the definition of a Campus Security Authority (CSA). CSAs have a duty to report any crime to the Colleges Clery Compliance Officer. This information may be disclosed to them directly, through third-party, or witnessed. As a CSA, you are required to complete annual training which is provided by the College. This training encompasses your role, responsibilities, and reporting obligations
