Job Description

Our client is a premier systems engineering and integration firm specializing in mission-critical IT and communications solutions for law enforcement, homeland security, and defense. As a trusted prime contractor with over $160 million in task order awards, we operate across 22 states and support essential government missions worldwide.

Our commitment to excellence has fueled our year-over-year growth, earning us recognition twice as a Washington Technology FAST 50 company and securing a place on the Inc. 5000 list for five consecutive years. This organization's mission is clear: keeping heroes safe and connected—on the battlefield, on the border, and in our backyards.

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Contracts Administrator to manage the entire lifecycle of our government contracts. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with federal regulations, contractual obligations, and company policies while supporting business development, subcontract administration, and financial coordination. The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting and a strong understanding of FAR, DFARS, GSA schedules, and federal acquisition regulations.

The Contracts Administrator will report directly to the CFO and will work remotely, with occasional onsite visits to Leesburg, VA.

Duties and Responsibilities

Contract Administration & Compliance

  • Administer, negotiate, extend, and close out government contracts, task orders, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulations while maintaining contractual records.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related communications, ensuring timely responses to government agencies and Prime contractors.
  • Manage and maintain all active contracts, whether our client is a Prime or a Subcontractor.
  • Oversee all government reporting requirements, including quarterly GSA compliance reporting and CAF/IFF payments.
  • Handle contract closeout procedures at the end of performance periods.

Subcontract Administration & Business Development Support

  • Work closely with Business Development to execute and manage Teaming Agreements and Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
  • Review and execute Subcontract Agreements as both a Prime and Subcontractor.
  • Ensure proposal documentation meets solicitation and compliance requirements.

Financial & Operational Coordination

  • Collaborate with Accounting to ensure accurate funding tracking, charge codes, and Unanet timekeeping system updates.
  • Receive and process funding modifications from government agencies and Prime contractors.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between contract management and finance, operations, and compliance teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of experience in government contract administration; or a minimum of five years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with GSA contracts, IDIQs, cost-reimbursable, T&M, and firm-fixed-price contracts.
  • Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, GSA schedules, and other federal acquisition regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong professional demeanor and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring compliance and alignment with company objectives
  • Security clearance is preferred but not required.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)
  • Retirement plans with company contributions
  • Professional development opportunities and career growth support
  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment where your contributions are valued
