Salary: $30 - $40 per hour
A bit about us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced CPA for our financial services practice. The Tax Accountant is a remote position that will allow you to showcase your accounting expertise in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling complex tax reviews, tax planning, and tax harvesting for high net worth individuals. The position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience and a proven track record in tax accounting.
You will be meeting via ZOOM with clients to discuss tax strategy.

Job Details Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive tax reviews for high net worth individuals within the mortgage industry.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
- Manage tax harvesting activities to optimize clients' financial situations.
- Provide expert advice on tax laws and regulations, keeping abreast of changes that could affect clients.
- Prepare and review complex income tax returns.
- Identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks, and provide solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the accuracy of financial and tax data.
- Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
- Assist in the development of tax strategies and policies that align with business goals.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A CPA certification is required.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on high net worth individuals.
- Proven experience in tax review, tax planning, and tax harvesting.
- Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
- Familiarity with the mortgage industry is strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
- Proficiency with tax software and digital databases.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially in MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
