Creative Director - Art The CD of Art will be responsible for conceptualizing results-oriented advertising and marketing content for agency projects across all mediums including, but not limited to, digital, social, print, collateral, radio, broadcast, and experiential. The CD must be persuasive in presenting and selling concepts to internal teams, senior company leaders, and clients. The person in this role will establish marketing strategies and must be able to create highly creative products based on brand strategy. This is a position for a curious, driven, results-oriented, and highly creative individual with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage deadlines, and produce highly effective creative. Responsibilities: Leads and inspires teams in developing and selling big ideas Ensures creative executions meet the highest standard of craftsmanship Effectively positions and sells creative with persuasive rationale grounded in project objectives, strategies, and budgets Reviews and approves creative work before presentations internally and to clients Develops relationships and maintains contact with key clients Approves creative briefs as prepared by the strategy team Oversees work assignments and ensures communication and interaction with other departments and clients Constructively critiques creative work and offers impactful feedback Guides and manages the ACD, AD, and CW teams Negotiates with Account Management to set priorities when scheduling/timetable conflicts develop among assignments and creative staff Works with the Creative Resource team to select and assign resources as necessary Contributes to new business proposals across all stages, from initial concept development to final pitch preparation, including crafting compelling written responses to creative questions Adopts management posture in representing the agency's interest in interaction with clients, staff, outside vendors, and other contacts Participates in recruitment efforts for the department by reviewing portfolios and interviewing candidates as requested by the Creative Resource personnel Stays current with industry/advertising trends and applies them strategically Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in an agency environment Minimum two years’ experience in creative partnership with a Copywriter Strong portfolio showcasing experience in multiple mediums (print, digital, social, and experiential) and industries Ability to manage and inspire a team of creatives, including Copywriters, Art Directors, Designers, and Production Artists Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to deadlines Ability to work collaboratively with account and strategy teams to ensure that all work meets or exceeds client expectations Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Proficiency in deck building software like Microsoft PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent management skills and strong leadership potential Adaptable and able to handle changes in briefs, priorities, and edits Passion for learning and self-improvement Proactive and a self-starter Positive attitude and ability to work under tight deadlines At Ogilvy, our people are at the heart of what we do: a creative agency that sparks game-changing ideas across culture and business through collaboration, integrity, and a celebration of self-expression.
