Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Data Center Technician Location: Northlake, IL Pay Range: $20-25/HR on Experis W2 What's the Job? Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment according to specific instructions and protocols. Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper setup of grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues following standard procedures, quickly identifying and replacing faulty components. Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes, such as memory upgrades and OS rebuilds. Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance errors and assist in debugging new programs. What's Needed? High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components. 1+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology. Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). Flexibility to work non-standard business hours, including weekends and/or holidays. What's in it for me?
