Job Description

Responsible for managing quality and food safety programs, personnel, and budgets in alignment with company goals, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, customer, and third-party standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with FDA, state health departments, USDC, HACCP, and third-party requirements.

• Lead audits and inspections by customers, GFSI, regulatory, and sustainability bodies.

• Develop and execute continuous improvement initiatives to exceed quality and regulatory standards.

• Oversee vendor compliance to meet company and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant, efficient processing and distribution.

• Manage and analyze the consumer complaint database to drive improvements.

• Maintain and update HACCP, SSOP, SOP, EMP, and GMP programs based on current regulations and science.

• Lead corrective actions for regulatory findings, consumer complaints, and food safety issues.

• Provide KPI and trend analysis reports to support company performance goals.

• Manage the sanitation program, including the Master Sanitation Schedule.

• Manage a team of skilled technical staff.

• Provide constructive and timely performance feedback to direct reports.

• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with quality assurance and food safety standards, including GFSI schemes such as BRCG and SQF.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proven ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams and influence cross-functional groups.

• Detail-oriented with strong time management, punctuality, and multitasking abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
