About This Role:
The General Counsel, reporting to the CEO, serves on the executive team as the organization’s legal and compliance representative. In this role, you are responsible for conducting, coordinating and leading all legal matters for the company. You will provide legal advice to senior management and other executives and will guide the organization to remain compliant with current corporate laws.
Activities:
About You:
Education: Requires a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and must be at good standing with the state Bar. Advanced Degree in molecular biology or related scientific field preferred
Experience: Preferred experience with a research-focused biotech company. Experience working with or within public companies

Proven ability to negotiate and draft agreements that are typical for a research-focused organization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate and function effectively in a team environment
Self-motivated and efficient, with good business judgment
A high degree of creativity and initiative is required
