Job Description

High School Head Girls’ Flag Football Coach

Part-Time/Stipend, Category 7

Professional Expertise:

1. The coach will instruct student-athletes in fundamental skills, training, and strategies necessary to achieve success.
2. The coach is responsible for leading all assistant coaches and ensuring that they have a knowledge of fundamental skills, training, and strategies for the game of flag football.
3. The coach has knowledge of game rules and league regulations and implements these rules on a consistent basis.
4. The coach will organize and conduct practice sessions for the sport.
5. The coach will be present at all games and or practices unless ill, injured, or excused by the Athletic Director.

Personal Behavior:

1. All student-athletes throughout the program will receive instruction and guidance that will lead to positive values, acceptable behavior, and self-discipline with a Christian emphasis.
2. The coach will exhibit responsible professional Christian conduct both in and out of the competitive arena and help with spiritual leadership of the team.

Facility/Fiscal/Equipment:

1. The coach is responsible for the facility and the equipment used in practice sessions and in games.
2. The coach is responsible for the care and upkeep of the facility, which is being used for such sport.
3. The coach will maintain a strict inventory of all uniforms and equipment. At the end of the season, the coach will submit a copy of the inventory to the athletic office.

Transportation:

1. The coach will be responsible for all driving forms to be valid when students and parents are used for drivers. No exceptions.
2. The coach is responsible to always have the team's medical release forms with the drivers when transporting players. Have a few complete sets available for your drivers.

Community/Parent Relationships:

1. The coach is responsible for good public relations with the faculty, staff, parents, and officials.
2. The coach promotes all the school’s sports among parents, players, staff, and fans at all times.
3. The coach will assist with communications to parents when needed.

Other Responsibilities:

1. The coach develops in each athlete a respect for the Lord, school property, and a keen awareness of upholding a positive attitude towards the team, school, players, fans, officials, and the opposing team.

Recommendations:

1. Have a copy of your roster with the phone numbers at home and at school.
2. The Athletic Director and the Administrative Assistant are in place for support and advice if needed. Ask questions.
