Duties:
+ Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
+ Manage the HR department, including supervising and training HR staff.
+ Conduct new hire orientations and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
+ Well versed with administration activities around US Medical and 401K benefits, including having been an administrator for the plans for employers.
+ Well versed with the taxation related activities, for payroll taxes, state income tax, sales tax and federal income tax related activities.
+ Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers compensation.
+ Negotiate and manage employee contracts, including collective bargaining agreements.
+ Manage employee data and ensure compliance with data collection and retention regulations.
+ Utilize HR software systems such as PeopleSoft and Ceridian to manage employee data and benefit administration.
+ Analyze HR data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Develop and manage HR budgets.
+ Serve as a liaison to other departments within the organization.
+ Provide HR guidance and support to managers and employees.
+ Conduct employee relations and investigations as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including employment law, workers compensation, and benefits administration.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ At least 5 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a management role.
+ Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices.
+ Experience with HR software systems such as PeopleSoft or any other.
+ Experience with contract administration and negotiation.
+ Experience with benefits administration and workers compensation.
+ Proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
+ Strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
