Private family looking hire a Live-In Housekeeper in Rochester, NY.

*Live In will include private bedroom and bathroom provided, possibly a separate private apartment *

The Ideal Candidate: The client is seeking a dedicated and reliable housekeeper to maintain a formal, yet relaxed, household. The ideal candidate should be hardworking, quiet, and easy to be around, with the ability to uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization. Attention to detail is crucial, especially when it comes to antiques and creating a polished, hotel-like environment. The household consists of the client, their husband, and their older daughter. While the home is not heavily used, it is important that it is always kept in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities include general housekeeping duties such as keeping the home tidy and well-maintained. The housekeeper will also be responsible for laundry, including washing, folding, and ironing items like napkins, handkerchiefs, and linens, with an emphasis on items that need dry cleaning. The client enjoys the beds to be beautifully made, with all arrangements done to a high standard. Setting the table with care and attention to detail is another important task.

The family splits their time between Manhattan and Rochester, where they reside from September to May, and travel occasionally. There will be no travel needed in this position. Cooking is not part of this role. The housekeeper will work alongside other household staff, so being a team player is essential. The client prefers someone who can maintain formal housekeeping standards and is happy to provide a detailed house manual to guide the housekeeper in meeting their expectations.

Position Compensation

• Salary:$30-$36/hr depending on experience
