Overview The Luau Show Stage Manager will work under the direction of the Director of Luau Operations and will be responsible for hiring, coordinating, coaching, counseling, supervising, and directing the Luau Show staff. The role involves overseeing all daily operations of the Luau Show in conjunction with the F&B Luau Managers, maintaining performance standards, and ensuring the art and culture of Hawaiian/Polynesian dance and songs are perpetuated. The manager will also focus on sharing the “Aloha Spirit” and providing excellent guest service. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Luau Operations, F&B Luau Manager, Light & Sound Manager/Technician, and all Luau Show staff. Manage daily operations of the Luau Show, conduct pre-shift and post-shift meetings, and oversee rehearsals and auditions. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate all personnel involved in the show, including dancers, musicians, and technical staff. Coordinate costumes, inventory, and equipment maintenance, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Manage budgets, expenses, and inventory records, and prepare reports as required. Respond to guest concerns promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to all regulations. Ensure staff compliance with hotel policies, safety, and sanitation standards. Participate in and lead production meetings, and ensure all aspects of the show are executed flawlessly. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Proven managerial experience in show production or similar roles. Extensive knowledge of Hawaiian/Polynesian dance and music, with high-level dance skills. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical ability to perform dance routines and work in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and hotel policies. General Requirements Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor embodying the Aloha Spirit. Arrive on time, dressed appropriately, and prepared for the shift. Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards. Adapt to costume requirements and physical appearance standards.
