Position Description :

The Department of Health Informatics & Information Management seeks to develop a pool of candidates for possible temporary/nontenured faculty to teach in undergraduate and graduate programs. Temporary/nontenured faculty are appointed to teach one to four courses per semester. Teaching appointments are based upon student demand on a semester-by-semester basis. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and departmental/school/program need. Successful candidates may teach at the San Marcos, Round Rock campuses, and/or online, depending on the needs of the academic department.

This posting is for the Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2024/2025 semesters. Please note that this posting is not intended to convey that such a need currently exists. Applicants applying for a pool faculty position will be available to the departmental search committee for consideration in case the need arises. Required Qualifications:

Specific educational requirements vary by position, but a minimum of a masters degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching field is generally required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous teaching experience is preferred.

RHIA, RHIT, CPHIMS, or other relevant certification based on professional curriculum teaching assignment. Application Procedures:
