Job Description
Position Objective: The Team Leader in the Paint Department is responsible for leading the assigned department(s) to ensure the production of high-quality work. This role involves coordinating tasks, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and maintaining departmental performance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Task Assignment and Schedule Management:
o Allocate tasks within the department to ensure timely completion of production schedules and operating plans.
o Monitor workflow and adjust assignments as necessary to meet production goals.
2. Problem Resolution and Collaboration:
o Collaborate with other facility management to identify, resolve, and create solutions for operational issues.
o Foster a cooperative environment to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
3. Safety Compliance:
o Enforce compliance with safety regulations to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
o Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to uphold safety standards.
4. Role as Relief Person:
o Step in to perform duties of absent or unavailable team members, ensuring continuity of operations.
o Provide cross-training to ensure team members can cover essential tasks during absences.
5. Housekeeping and Maintenance:
o Lead and participate in housekeeping efforts within the paint booth and other department areas.
o Ensure equipment and workspaces are clean, organized, and well-maintained.
6. Special Projects:
o Assist with additional projects and tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
o Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in taking on new challenges.

o Oversee and be accountable for the production performance of the department, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.

o Ensure accuracy and integrity in departmental record-keeping and reporting.

Qualifications:
• Education:
o High School Diploma required; some college-level coursework preferred.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with computer-integrated manufacturing systems.
o Basic-level abilities in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the ability to create and interpret documents and reports.
• Experience:
o Previous experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
o Strong understanding of paint department processes and quality control measures.
