QC Microbiologist

\nThe QC Microbiologist will be responsible for focusing on environmental and utility monitoring, as well as product testing, including Microbial Limit Tests, Bioburden, and Endotoxin analysis.
\n Job Responsibilities \n

\n\t
• Performs QC microbiological aspects of cGMP compliance and testing.\n\t
• Collect environmental monitoring (Total Air, Viable Air and Viable Surface) in a cleanroom/controlled environment.\n\t
• Collect Utility Monitoring Samples (RODI/WFI) routinely and for qualification of systems.\n\t
• Perform incubation/enumeration of environmental samples.\n\t
• Gram stain/Characterization of environmental isolates.\n\t
• Performs testing for water samples (pH/Conductivity, TOC, Water Bioburden, Endotoxin).\n\t
• Ensure lab is maintained (organized, clean, & properly supplied).\n\t
• Perform other duties as assigned.\n

\n Job Requirements \n\n

\n\t
• Bachelor's degree preferably in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 1+ year of relevant GMP experience; OR\n\t
• Associates degree preferably in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant GMP experience; OR\n\t
• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of relevant GMP experience.\n\t
• Sound aseptic technique and understanding of industry best practices, techniques, equipment, and materials.\n\t
• Ability to analyze raw data, assess assay and system suitability criteria.\n\t
• Ability to follow safety procedures outlined in the Chemical Hygiene Plan.\n\t
• Utilize SDS sheets to properly assess chemical hazards, spill response procedures, and PPE requirements if indicated.\n\t
• Good attention to detail and ability to utilize problem solving/trouble shooting skills.\n\t
• Good computer skills.\n\t
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.\n\t
• Demonstrated leadership skills.\n\t
• Strong organization and analytical skills.\n

• Salary Range : $56,000 to $75,000 annually\n\t
