About the Role

As an RN Surgical First Assistant , you will play a crucial role in the surgical team. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and utilizing equipment, supplies, and instruments for surgical interventions.
• Setting up and maintaining a sterile field while applying infection control principles.
• Ensuring compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of an accredited RN First Assist program meeting AORN standards.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Certification as an Operating Room RN (CNOR) upon hire.
• 3 years of operating room scrub experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year of experience in a Surgical First Assistant role.
