Position: Senior Application Developer z/OS, COBOL
Work Location: Sacramento, California

We are seeking a Senior Application Developer with expertise in z/OS mainframe technologies to support enterprise-level application development for a government client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in COBOL, CICS, Db2, and JCL, along with hands-on experience in a z/OS environment.
Required Skills & Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience developing applications using COBOL, CICS, Db2, and JCL on z/OS .
Proven ability to design, develop, test , and maintain enterprise mainframe applications.
Hands-on experience with mainframe development tools such as:
Changeman
SPUFI
Optim (Princeton Softech)
QMF
File Manager
Familiarity with agile methodologies and software development best practices.
Ability to provide after-hours on-call support for batch job issues and end-user inquiries.
Experience in reviewing and validating customer requirements and participating in system design.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work with end clients for support and issue resolution.
