Job Description

We are currently interviewing for a ServiceNow Developer to support a federal agency serving more than 4000 users. This role requires a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including its core modules (GRC, IRM, SPM, ITSM, LSM) and best practices, combined with experience working within DoD environments and adhering to strict process and policy governance and security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a strong development background and be able to translate business requirements into effective ServiceNow solutions and collaborate with other developers on custom integrations. This individual will be responsible for managing the application lifecycle, including development, testing, and deployment of updates and new features. Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred. Responsibilities:

  • Develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and modules based on user requirements and DoD security standards.
  • Create and maintain workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and other ServiceNow components.
  • Develop and maintain transform maps for data imports and integrations, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other DoD systems and applications using APIs and other integration methods.
  • Collaborate with full-stack application developers to design, develop, and implement custom integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems.
  • Perform system and integration testing, including unit, functional, and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow platform and application issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure solution alignment with business needs.
  • Manage and deploy update sets following established change management processes.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform updates, releases, and best practices.
  • Adhere to DoD security regulations and policies, including NIST SP 800-53 and other relevant frameworks.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Must possess ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.
  • Additional ServiceNow Certifications are a plus (i.e. Certified Implementation Specialist - Strategic Portfolio Management and Risk and Compliance).
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as GRC, IRM, SPM, ITSM, LSM.
  • Experience creating and maintaining complex transform maps within ServiceNow.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, and other web technologies.
  • Experience with ServiceNow scripting, including client-side and server-side scripting.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs (REST, SOAP).
  • Experience collaborating with other development teams on complex integration projects.
  • Experience working in a DoD environment and familiarity with DoD security regulations and policies (highly desired).
