Stage Manager – Los Angeles, CA

Job Summary:

Quixote Studios is the entertainment industry's premier studio & equipment rental company and is looking for a Stage Manager to join the team! This position will be responsible for project management, studio production and providing exceptional customer service to our clients. Our ideal candidate is passionate about the industry, experienced and has excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage project logistics before, during, and after each project.
• Act as the primary contact and liaison between Quixote and clients.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to our clients throughout all touchpoints.
• Review call sheet to familiarize yourself with the incoming clients for each stage.
• Open, close, flip, and maintain stages.
• Provide equipment assistance, fulfillment, and management.
• Complete rental record processing and keeping and track internal production supplies.
• Support clients with facility-related needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of stages and exterior areas.
• Report and respond to emergencies.
• Drive to deliver, drop off, or pick up equipment and support other client needs.
• Coordinate and communicate with other stage managers in preparation for clients.
• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of clients, staff, and studio information.
• Assist other stage managers, maintenance team, and receptionist.
• Troubleshoot, problem solve, and source gear as necessary.
• Perform basic handyman tasks and minor repairs.
• Performs other job-related duties as needed.

What You’ll Need

• 2+ years of prior experience in a similar role.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of Grip and Lighting equipment preferred.
• Must be flexible on shift times and locations. This is for a closing shift but can vary based on production.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with management, clients, and team
• members.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Willingness to physically perform maintenance tasks as needed.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating accuracy in the execution.
• Ability to anticipate needs and multi- task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, professional and possess good judgment.
• Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and in alignment with Company policies and
• procedures.
• Possess a valid driver's license and excellent driving record as determined by the Company’s insurance carrier.
• Please note, the candidate selected for this role will be required to complete a criminal background check and drug screening.

Essential Physical Functions / Environment

• Requires the ability to lift 50lbs.
• Requires a wide range of constant physical and office activities, including but not limited to: walking, standing, sitting, talking, speaking, bending, lifting, finger manipulation, etc.
• Frequent repetitive movements.
• Requires work such as tours throughout property, including construction sites, usually performed by walking and by climbing stairs.
• Requires movement between departments to facilitate work.
• Requires close, distance, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Job Location:

Pacoima, CA / Griffith Park, CA ; travel to and work out of other Los Angeles Quixote and Sunset Studio locations as needed

Compensation:

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $22.00- $28.00 per hour.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including but not limited to market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment. In compliance with the California Law, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.

Quixote Studios reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
