Aquent Talent is partnering with a leading financial services organization to find a highly experienced Senior Insider Threat Analyst to build and lead a cutting-edge insider threat program. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape the future of security, leveraging the latest tools and technologies to protect critical assets. You'll be the driving force behind implementing a new insider threat detection tool and developing the operational framework for the entire program.
This role offers a unique opportunity to define and implement a comprehensive insider threat program, collaborating with cross-functional teams and utilizing advanced analytics to mitigate risk. You will be instrumental in protecting sensitive data, intellectual property, and ensuring the overall security posture of the organization.
What You'll Do: - Program Development: Design and implement a robust insider threat program, including policies, processes, workflows, metrics, and reporting frameworks.
- Tool Deployment: Spearhead the configuration and integration of a new insider threat detection tool, collaborating with IT and vendors to tailor it to specific organizational needs.
- Threat Detection & Analysis: Monitor user behavior, conduct thorough investigations, and refine detection capabilities using rules, alerts, and risk scoring models.
- Collaboration & Training: Serve as a subject matter expert, providing training and guidance to junior analysts and stakeholders on insider threat detection techniques.
- Incident Response: Lead investigations, develop response playbooks, and ensure thorough documentation and root-cause analysis for insider threat incidents.
Must-Have Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, specializing in insider threat analysis and program development.
- Strong understanding of user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) tools, digital forensics, and data loss prevention (DLP) strategies.
- Proven experience deploying and managing insider threat tools.
- Expertise in developing policies, procedures, and workflows for insider threat management.
- Familiarity with SIEM platforms, data analytics tools, and insider threat indicators and detection methods.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC, or insider threat-specific credentials.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements surrounding insider threat and data protection (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., BigQuery, Python, PowerShell).
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55.98 to $62.20 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
