Job Description

Our plant-based food and beverage company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance Director to oversee financial aspects of the organization. As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and guidance to support the company's growth and sustainability.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial performance and key metrics to provide insights and recommendations to the executive team.

Accounting and Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the company's accounting functions, including the preparation of financial statements, tax compliance, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Budget Management:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor budget performance throughout the year.
  • Provide financial guidance to department heads to ensure budget adherence and profitability.

Treasury Management:

  • Manage the company's cash flow, investments, and banking relationships.
  • Implement strategies to optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks.

Financial Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Work closely with external auditors and regulatory agencies as needed.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support for their professional development. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the finance department.

Education/Prerequisite Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving business results.

Equipment/Training Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and financial modeling tools.
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry or related fields is a plus.
