Project-Based Technical Writer
Atlanta, GA - Job# GA2501
Six (6) months+
25+ hours per week
Remote with some onsite and out-of-state travel

Are you an Atlanta-based writer with experience creating content for user guides, training documents, articles, websites, or operational procedures? ProEdit, a content development firm that has been a trusted partner for over 2,000 clients in more than 20 countries over the past 32 years, is seeking a technical writer to work on various projects for our customers, which include Fortune 500 companies and medium and small businesses. This position offers a rare opportunity to join ProEdit's project services team of writers, editors, instructional designers, and content project managers. This position requires attention to detail and working quickly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be able to take initiative and be a team player.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least two (2) years of writing experience, preferably in technical writing, curriculum writing, or other content development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, screen capture tools, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Degree in Technical Communication, Journalism, Instructional Design, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with graphic design, video creation, and editing tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with engineers and executives regularly.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to style guides and standards.
  • Ability to hit the ground running and learn new skills quickly.
  • Can commute once or twice per week and travel out of state once or twice a month for client visits and in-person meetings.
